The Agribusiness Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Muhammadiyah University of Malang carried out a work program which was part of the Faculty Blockgrant in the form of socialization which aimed to promote the Agribusiness Study Program to students at SMK PP Wiyata Bakti Dau, Malang.
In this socialization activity, the Study Program Team conveyed the profile of Agribusiness, Study Program activities that have been carried out both regionally, nationally, and internationally, as well as facilities provided by the Agribusiness Study Program and the University. In addition to conveying these things, the team also distributed Agribusiness profile posters, door prizes in the form of credit vouchers for students who actively asked questions, and provided ice cream making machine assistance for SMK, thus adding to the impressiveness of this activity.
This activity went smoothly and the SMK students were very enthusiastic which was evident from the question from Eka, one of the XII grade students to the Agribusiness Study Program team about how the prospects for Agribusiness in the future, especially with the increasingly advanced science and technology conditions.
The SMK also felt enthusiastic, as said by Mrs. Rosita “The whole school really appreciates the socialization activities carried out by the UMM Agribusiness Study Program team, in addition to motivating students to continue their education to a higher level, this activity also fosters the entrepreneurial spirit of the students, especially in agriculture”.
From this socialization activity, it is hoped that it can increase students' knowledge about Agribusiness and hopefully the younger siblings of SMK PP Wiyata Bakti Malang students can become part of the UMM Agribusiness Study Program.
