On November 27-29, 2019, the Agribusiness Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science UMM conducted a farmer visit activity to Jombok Village, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency. The activity was attended by 82 agribusiness students from the class of 2017. This farmer visit activity was part of a series of practical activities for two courses: Community Empowerment and Agribusiness Communication and Extension.
With the theme "Building Communication with Farmers for Agribusiness Progress", the Head of the Agribusiness Laboratory Dr. Ir. Rahayu Relawati, MM hoped that through this activity, students would be able to understand the real profile of farmers, as well as the potential and problems existing in the village. Furthermore, the Head of the Agribusiness Laboratory hoped that students would be able to provide extension services based on the formulation of community empowerment programs derived from the village's identified potential.
