UMM Agribusiness Encourages Students to Export Agricultural Commodities

Malang, May 8 2024 – Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) once again strengthened the collaboration between the world of education and industry in the field of agribusiness through a series of important events today. Held at the UMM Joint Lecture Building IV, UMM Agribusiness successfully organized two major events: the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a guest lecture with the theme "Tips for Becoming a Successful Exporter."

The signing ceremony of this MOU is a strategic step to strengthen the collaboration between UMM Agribusiness and related industries in developing the agribusiness potential in Indonesia. The MOU involves various parties, including renowned companies in the agribusiness sector, who also attended the event.

Not only that, the guest lecture held on the same day also attracted the attention of many parties. With the theme "Tips for Becoming a Successful Exporter," this guest lecture provided valuable insights for UMM Agribusiness students on the challenges and strategies in becoming a successful exporter in the global market.

The speakers at the event were prominent figures from the industry, namely the President Director of PT BeeJay Seafood, Benyamin Mangitung, and a representative from PT Ciomas Adisatwa, drh. Paramitha. Both delivered inspiring material and shared personal experiences and expertise in building sustainable and high-quality export businesses. In his presentation, Benyamin said that age is not a barrier to exporting; the barrier is the spirit.

In his speech, the Head of the Agribusiness Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Malang, Ary Bakhtiar, expressed appreciation for the collaboration established between UMM Agribusiness and the industry. He also emphasized the importance of knowledge and experience exchange between academics and practitioners in supporting the development of a better agribusiness sector in the future. As long as there are living beings on the face of the earth, the food business will remain promising, he added.

The event attended by students, lecturers, and industry representatives is expected to become an important momentum in inspiring the younger generation to contribute to the development of Indonesia's agribusiness industry to a better level.
