In the spirit of nurturing the spirit of nationalism, lecturers and education staff of the Agribusiness Department of Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) participated enthusiastically in celebrating the 78th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day on August 17, 2023.
Their active participation was clearly seen through various activities that had been held previously, one of which was on August 12, 2023. UMM Agribusiness lecturers and teaching staff participated in a healthy walk event which was attended by the entire UMM academic community. The festive spirit of independence radiated from the festive parade filled with participants wearing national clothes and red-and-white attributes.
Not only a healthy walk, UMM Agribusiness lecturers and teaching staff also participated in various competitions held as part of the independence celebration. These competitions cover a variety of fields such as cardboard ice tapet competitions, ball muvon, sack races, mumbul cloths and creative decoration competitions with the theme of nationalism. With no less enthusiasm than the event committee, the lecturers and teaching staff Agribusiness UMM managed to create a festive atmosphere that fostered togetherness and love for the homeland.
This meaningful participation is a tangible manifestation of the commitment of UMM Agribusiness lecturers and teaching staffs in nurturing the spirit of nationalism and remembering the struggle of the heroes who have won Indonesia's independence. Through positive actions like this, they hope that the spirit of nationalism will continue to burn in each of them and pass on the noble values of the nation to future generations.
