Lampung (1/1), The commitment to deliver students to graduate with qualified work provisions and create competent graduates, makes the UMM Agribusiness Study Program continue to strive to create and support all activities that have a positive impact on students. One of the efforts made by the Agribusiness Study Program to uphold this commitment is through the implementation of a work internship program. In its implementation, students are free in determining partners who have collaborated with the Agribusiness Study Program or internships under the auspices of the Independent Campus Program such as the Certified Independent Internship and Study Program (MSIB).
The Certified Independent Internship and Study Program (MSIB), is part of the Ministry of Education and Culture's Independent Campus program which has collaborated with more than 160 partners consisting of various companies, government institutions and organizations. This program aims to provide opportunities for students to develop themselves through experiential activities in the professional or industrial world for 1 - 2 semesters. This experience is expected to form hard skills and soft skills for students as a provision for entering the world of work.
In the implementation process, registration can be done through the official MBKM website. Where participants will be given requirements that must be met. After the registration process is continued with the selection process, such as administrative selection and interviews. Of course, the selection is carried out with the aim of getting the best students who will take part in the MSIB Program. One of the Agribusiness Study Program students selected to participate in the MSIB Program is Winda Kusumawati.
Winda Kusumawati is one of the students who took part in the MSIB Program at PT Great Giant Pineapple Lampung (GGP). In a brief interview, she expressed that the many interesting programs under the auspices of MBKM and the experience of participating in the Teaching Campus Program were the reasons for Winda's interest in participating in the Program which was held from September 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022.
In the process of implementation, the 2018 Agribusiness Study Program student also felt that this program would be very helpful in improving the quality of skills and experience. “In my opinion, this program has a lot of benefits, where with this program I feel that I can take the first step to increase my experience, relationships and skills, apart from these benefits such as facilities and fulfillment of daily needs,” said Winda.
On that occasion, she expressed her hope that more Agribinis students would participate in the available programs. “It is better to be frequent, look for the latest information about programs that will be opened and take advantage of the time available to seek as much experience as possible to color our CV” concluded Winda.
