December 5 2024 - UMM Agribusiness again taking strategic steps in the world of agribusiness education. Last Tuesday (03/12), three representatives from the UMM Agribusiness Department represented by Ary Bakhtiar, Festy Putri, and Zul Mazwan visited the Agribusiness Vocational School of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) in Solo.

This visit aims to explore cooperation in recruiting new students through the Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) pathway, an initiative that allows D3 graduates to continue their studies to the undergraduate level at Agribusiness UMM. During the meeting, Agribusiness UMM explained their vision to open up opportunities for D3 graduates to earn a bachelor's degree through the RPL program.

The mechanism offered by the UMM Agribusiness Past Learning Recognition program is quite flexible, allowing students to choose between RPL with a credit acquisition mechanism or credit transfer according to their respective criteria and needs.

Through this mechanism, students who have completed diploma education in Agribusiness are given the opportunity to recognize the experience and knowledge they already have, so as to accelerate their transition to the undergraduate level. This initiative is a response to the need to improve the competencies and qualifications of graduates who are ready to compete at the national and international levels.

The cooperation promoted through the visit is expected to open new horizons in the world of agribusiness education. With the synergy between UMM Agribusiness and UNS Agribusiness Vocational Study Program.

Ary Bakhtiar as the head of the UMM Agribusiness study program further expects the creation of other innovative programs that can educate the nation and make a significant contribution to the development of the agribusiness sector in Indonesia. “This step reflects the commitment between Agribusiness UMM and Vocational Agribusiness UNS to continue to innovate and collaborate to improve the quality of higher education in the field of agribusiness,” explained Ary.
