Malang, December 10 2024 - The Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) is a prestigious international accreditation founded by industry-leading organizations from Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. Quoting from umn.ac.id, the purpose of this accreditation since the first day it was established was to develop strict Assessment Guidelines for quality assurance in the field of higher education.

There are several assessment criteria that must be met to get this international accreditation. With strict and English-language assessments, FIBAA's preparation is quite challenging. The criteria include learning, infrastructure, human resources, international standard research, and quality assurance.

To strengthen the international accreditation process, of course a study program must prepare like a student studying for an exam. Agribusiness UMM answers all these challenges, one of which is by visiting the Agribusiness Study Program of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta.

Last Tuesday (07/12) three representatives from UMM Agribusiness lecturers, namely Ary Bakhtiar, Festy Putri, and Bambang Yudi made a comparative study visit to the UMY Agribusiness Undergraduate Program. The visit aims to explore the implementation of FIBAA accreditation and explore various program innovations that have been successfully implemented at UMY, which will later be adapted to improve the quality and branding of UMM Agribusiness.

During the visit, the three UMM Agribusiness representatives directly observed various creative initiatives, such as the development of food replicas that reflect the potential of agribusiness and the arrangement of wall hangings that present articles about food security and agribusiness sundries. These initiatives are considered capable of providing new inspiration in presenting the identity of the study program through a visual and informative approach.

In addition, the comparative study agenda also includes digitization plans initiated through the procurement of computer laboratories and podcast rooms that are expected to support the learning process and support research activities and internal communication.

The Head of the UMM Agribusiness Department, Ary Bakhtiar, revealed that this comparative study activity was an important momentum for UMM Agribusiness to continue to develop innovations and improve educational standards through the adaptation of best practices that have proven effective at UMY. “This meeting is also a place to strengthen the relationship between the UMM and UMY Agribusiness study programs as fellow Agribusiness study programs in Muhammadiyah universities,” Ary concludes.
