Sumbersekar, July 14 2024 — In an effort to stimulate and enhance the economy of Sumbersekar Village, the PPK Ormawa HMPS Agribusiness Team from Muhammadiyah University of Malang has implemented their first program, which is an outreach on Eco Enzym. This program is designed to increase the economic value of oranges in Sumbersekar Village, providing the community with practical skills in making Eco Enzym liquid and bar soap, as well as knowledge related to utilizing orange waste in entrepreneurship.
Purnawati M.Pd., as a partner and speaker for the Eco Enzym outreach, explained that Eco Enzym liquid is a multifunctional liquid with many benefits. The process of making Eco Enzym liquid is very easy because the main ingredient of Eco Enzym is fruit peel waste, which is very easily obtained by the community. As a follow-up effort in the Eco Enzym outreach program, the PPK Ormawa HMPS Agribusiness team provided assistance to the target community in the process of making Eco Enzym liquid. The assistance activities have been carried out three times, and these activities have gone smoothly, with the community showing great enthusiasm to participate in producing Eco Enzym liquid alongside the PPK Ormawa HMPS Agribusiness team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang.
Focus on Maximizing the Potential of Natural Resources (SDA) and Human Resources (SDM) in Entrepreneurship
The PPK Ormawa program implemented by the PPK Ormawa HMPS Agribusiness team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang focuses on maximizing the potential of Natural Resources (SDA). Sumbersekar Village has natural potential in the form of orange production. Processing oranges, both from waste and the fruit itself, is one of the strategies used to increase the economic value of oranges. In addition, the potential of Human Resources (HR) is crucial in the effort to process derivative products from Natural Resources (NR) available in Sumbersekar Village. Therefore, the PPK Ormawa HMPS Agribusiness Team conducts outreach and assistance to the community to maximize the potential in Sumbersekar Village.
