Malang June 13, 2023. A total of 130 students from Triguna Utama Tangerang High School visited Muhammadyah University Malang. Located in the BAU UMM hall, the enthusiasm of the visiting participants was very lively. The Agribusiness Study Program provided an explanation of the program and the advantages of the study program to the Triguna Utama High School students in South Tangerang. The program includes ongoing internationalization, prospects for future international cooperation, export professional classes that will give birth to young exporters, the great potential of millennial entrepreneurs who will be born in this study program, opportunities to collaborate with countries across continents and many more advantages possessed by the study program chaired by Ary Bakhtiar.
As a representative of the Public Relations PIC of the agribusiness study program, Festy Putri said “this is important to do to the millennial generation to the ‘z’ generation to instill knowledge that the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Agriculture, especially the agribusiness study program, does not only learn about agricultural science, but it turns out that there is a lot of other knowledge that can also be explored. Such as knowledge of international trade or economics, supply chain management, entrepreneurship, law and business ethics and even export of agrocomplex products are also included in agribusiness science at UMM “. The UMM agribusiness lecturer also added that this agribusiness study program is a study program that has great potential in giving birth to great people, policy makers or scientists in the fields of food and community welfare etc., because the science taught is an important domain, namely including the food sector.
Agribusiness itself has a strategic role in the economic development of a country. This is illustrated through a real contribution in the provision of food, industrial raw materials, feed and bioenergy, employment, sources of income, and sources of foreign exchange.
