Growing Entrepreneurship Skills, Agribusiness Study Program Trains Students Through CoE Classes

Malang - The Agribusiness Study Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang has determined to be able to produce competent graduates with an entrepreneurial spirit in the field of agribusiness.

In order to realize this determination, the UMM Agribusiness Study Program held an Agrocomplex Product Professional Class Guest Lecture with the theme “Building International Scale Business”.

Held in the 9th floor Hall of GKB 4 UMM on Tuesday, (27/09/2022), also invited to this guest lecture two competent resource persons in the field of agribusiness, namely Dimas Agung Mahendra, SP as CEO of PT. Everfresh Indonesia and Syairul Alim, SP as Owner of Rujak Ndower, a pioneer of online salad and attended by UMM Agribusiness Study Program Lecturers and attended by approximately 230 participants who were a combination of 2021 and 2022 Agribusiness Study Program students and five MBKM program students from UNMUH Jember.

“The main purpose of this event is to foster and develop student entrepreneurship skills through the Agribusiness Study Program's flagship professional class program, namely the agrocomplex product export class”. He also explained that based on the results of this guest lecture, it is hoped that UMM Agribusiness Study Program students will be motivated to develop an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age. He hoped

Furthermore, the implementation of this guest lecture is the first step to introduce the professional class (CoE) of agrocomplex product exports to Agribusiness Study Program students during the fifth semester later, he concluded.

While the first material was delivered by Syairul Alim, SP, in the outline of his presentation the speaker said that ups and downs in entrepreneurship are common. But what makes us extraordinary is the attitude and determination to keep getting up until we find the right formulation in business. The second material was delivered by Dimas Agung Mahendra, SP, where in his presentation the speaker said that the size of the business was about how it was born.
