Thursday, October 12 2023 -19 schools from all over Indonesia attended the Final of the Agrifair Competition 2023 held at the UMM General Administration Bureau Hall. The Vice Rector III of UMM, Dr. Nur Subeki, ST., MT, was also present and opened the event. In his speech, he conveyed that this activity is one of Muhammadiyah's efforts to elevate the social strata of society.
The Final Agrifair Competition event is the pinnacle of the National Business Plan Competition. This competition goes through 2 selection stages, namely the title and Business Model Canvas selection stage and the proposal selection stage. Out of more than 70 high schools and equivalent institutions, only 20 schools successfully advanced to the Agrifair Final event. This event is the first of its kind, and the theme presented is "Show Your Creativity and Innovation to Build Entrepreneurship in Society 5.0 Era." The hope is that this event can be scheduled as a sustainable activity, thereby producing generations of entrepreneurs.
There are a total of five winners selected in this competition. Five of them are: First Place, Moringa Island Team from SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng. 2nd Place, Team Hiasin from MA Khusnul Khatimah Yasin. 3rd Place, Team Wacker from SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondang Legi. Hopeful Winner 1, Nice Ice Cream Team from SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondang Legi. 2nd Place, I-Peasant Team, from SMAN 7 Kediri City. In addition to receiving a cash prize, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners also received laptops courtesy of the Agribusiness Study Program at Muhammadiyah University Malang.
